DAY 2: Time to Work

Fun Fact:  At the bottom of this banner it says you can text a code and get Jason's song as your ringtone.  What?!?!
Awwww look at that face!  Day two marked the start of our work week and what better way to start than with a larger than life picture of Jason's head?  At 2pm the press meetings began and oh what a whirlwind that was.  Major news stations and print publications came out to meet with Jason and ask him the questions the public are dying to know:
Do you have a girlfriend?
AND
What's your favorite Filipino food?

Luckily our mother has raised us on a steady diet of yummy Filipino dishes so Jason had no trouble expressing his excitement for Longinasa and Garlic rice.  One journalist even implored Jason to try Dinuguan while visiting ("it tastes like chocolate, I swear").

Jason showed off his media skills and sat through 3 hours of press interviews like a pro!  This was just beginning and after the interviews we were whisked away to meet The Big Boss and to meet more of our new family at the Viva Headquarters.  But not before we got to see the huge banner hanging in the Glorietta Mall, which incidentally we had passed under at least 20 times without noticing.  No wonder people kept looking at Jason while we shopped.
Yay!

After a lesson in Manila traffic we got to see a little more of the city on our way to the Philippine Stock Exchange Building.

Jason: Ate, I want to ride in the Jeepney.
Ate:  No.

I must say our Viva Family knows how to roll out the red carpet.  Boss Vic and Boss Vincent have big plans for Jason and we are honored to be welcomed so warmly into the Viva Family.
Boss Vic and Jason
We closed out the work day with yummy dim sum at Ming's with our new work fam.

Jason headed up to the hotel for some beauty rest and I got to see some college friends who were visiting Manila.  Who would have thought you could have so many LA reunions in Makati?!

Calstate Long Beach Reunion!

See you guys tomorrow!

Lessons of the Day:
- Manila traffic punks LA traffic
- Jason won't eat shark fin dumplings because "if I eat them they'll eat me"
- Going "bold" means taking scantily clad pictures (whaaaat??)
