DAY 5: Video Shoot

Jason Watching Jason

That's right people! Pogi Shots!

This morning we shot Jason’s music video for his tagalog single Kung Ikaw at Ako.  The first site was at Avida in one of their model units.  The skyline of Manila is changing as tons of developments shoot up and the Avida towers are an example of some of the condos being built.  We met our fabulous style team, including Xeng and Jan who even cut Jason’s hair on set.

Viva really pulled out all the stops for Jason’s music video.  We were surrounded a huge production staff an amazing international director and the shots really looked great!  The best part about the shoot is that instead of Kraft Services you get Filipino food! Eggs, rice and spam for breakfast….whaaaattt????

It is truly amazing how a 3 minute song can take 15 hours to shoot.  But watching the takes it looks like it will totally be worth it.  Jason’s leading lady was Yam Concepcion who you may have seen on the covers of FHM.  Definitely gorgeous and they looked great together.  The entire crew was had the song in their head after the wrap of the first scene.  Ate got to leave for the romantic shots (thank god) but Jason proved to be a real pro especially towards the end.

Director: But don’t smile
Jason: Ok
Director:  Look tough
Jason: Ok
Director: but soft
Jason: Ok
Director: Do less....but do more

Hahahaha I would cry! I got to spend the day in the air conditioned green room reading, eating, and listening to all the latest chismis from the style team.  My kind of day!

After the first location wrapped Jason and the crew headed to Santa Ana to shoot some gorgeous shots with the skyline.  We really have gotten closer to our Road crew and it truly is starting to feel like a family affair when we are together.  Tomorrow is Jason’s first singing appearance in District Cavite.  He’s definitely been itching to sing since we got here so we are super excited.
See you tomorrow!!!

Lessons of the Day:
- LSS means Last Song Syndrome
- Vilma Santos' son is the Ryan Seacrest of the Philippines
- Production crews can survive off of Dunkin Donuts and cigarettes
