It's our day off! And we were lucky enough to have our Ate Janine and family pick us up and take us exploring in Batangas, the place where our father grew up. We drove and hour and a half out of the city and what a difference it made. On the way, we got to see cows and caribous in the fields and the landscape got greener and greener the farther we got from the city. Landing at the Mount Malarayat Country Club is like landing on a different planet compared to Makati. Open spaces of green surrounded us as well as a beautiful backdrop of Mt. Malarayat.
Ate Janine's house is amazing as well! Beautifully constructed with amazing views and a peace and quite that the city does not have. Ate Janine and Kuya set out an amazing luncheon for us to share with more family members who came to visit.

Jason got to high five the dogs (#pepsisjealous)

After a relaxing and delicious lunch we headed out to Rosario to see the house Dad grew up in. The banner from when Jason was on Duets was still hanging on the front and as we drove through the neighborhood we tried to picture dad running around the streets as a kid. Mama told me once that dad was very naughty when he was little so we could only imagine the trouble he got into.

We also got to meet more family and eat more food including some of the local fruits that we had never tried.
